I voted for sparrow even though I hadn't listed in my earlier post - probably because I did not list them in my earlier post and they were looking a bit lonely with no votes.  Anyway I do love them for their total gregariousness and socialism  ;D

Well, I might not have buzzards visiting our garden, but I know owls pass through along with either a sparrowhawk or kestrel chasing prey or bringing it down in our garden  :-\.  Could also say woodpecker as we have had one of those in the neighbourhood and he is making himself at home in our willow.  Didn't realise how noisy they are!!  and I don't mean to knock knock knocking!

RW

Thinking back about visitors this past year I would like to change my vote to pheasants!

Heldi

I've voted Blackbird for Billy!  Billy has been entertaining me since I moved here , he sings me a lovely song on summer evenings,he potters about with his chicks and takes good care of them. He looks as rough as a bag of spanners come the end of summer but still keeps singing and hopping about full of busy.

I love you Billy, long may you reign over my garden!

Ooh yes i'd forgotten about the pheasant that came into our garden this year. Not a typical garden bird though. ;D

I have pheasants in my garden all the time despite them being chased by Meggie.

All birds are welcome visitors.
The favourites would include Nuthatches, Magpies, Jays and Greater Spotted Woodpecker.

It's the Blackbird for me...love the way the pairs are always together  :)
Sometimes we just need a helping hand!

Well the Starlings aint doing to well are they. Someone give them a sympathy vote  ;D

Starlings are noisey little blighters but they can be very interesting birds if you sit back and observe them. Not very good on the bird table though as they pinch all the food and the smaller birds have very little chance when the starlings are around.

Be kind to slugs and snails!

Lady Cosmos

Every morning two turtle doves visit my garden and stay there  about an hour.
Than I get a lot of finches, robins and some jays, black birds, but I hate the sea gulls because you can be sure it will rain in no time and they chase all the other birds away.   >:(
