For some unknown reason, my eldest son has just told me lots about the hol he took with his dad to Wales about 6 months ago.. ::) And he is insisting that he and his dad saw a humped back whale off the coast from the vantage point of a cliff....I'm happy to go along with this, not being one to squish these things...but it,s bugging me..could he have done? Really?

Hey there UCP,

I think it was July or August time this year that 3 humpbacked whales were spotted in Cardigan Bay for the first time.  It is unusual for them to be seen there, and they are more commonly found in North West Scotland and South West Ireland in the Summer months. 

So it is possible that your son saw some when he was on his hols.....
