Couldn't sleep so I thought to catch up with 'gossip' and see if anybody else is up in this hour of the 'day'.. ::)
I've never been here so that my name is only one on the list... ;D..but there is still 78 guests around  ???
I wonder if one day I can be truly the only one here... ::) Its been looong night... ::)
I hope you all sleeping sound....tucked cosy in your warm beds..in mean while I've got bread machine on and now enjoying my first cup of tea and I've just put some more wood in fire and enjoying almost peaceful time. I can hear black bird giving its best singing performance outside..dog and OH snoring in bed.. ;D

I would have been here with you IF I'd had an internet connection.   :'(
It's taken me from 5:00 till now to get one and it drives me mad.

I'm usually up between 4.30 to 5 every day, I love early mornings!

Has your internet provider had one of those 'maintenance'  cut outs?
I didn't mind being on my own here..just being amused of seing my name on its own on list.. ;D
I'm not morning person at all..although I do admit that I love the quiet time if and when that miracle does happen that I'm up early. This time my aching leg got better of me and while I was getting it back to 'gear' I thought I might as well make myself useful and do something.
Tummy is rumbling as it knows there is fresh bread in the menu later on.. ;D

I thought I would be the first on here today ,but not so ,I can't sleep either.
Its foggy here in near Brum , so I expect it will clear to another fine day. hopefully coffee, and toast in the garden soon, and just relaxing and listening to the birds singing, what could be better.
 June.

Looking at outside..its foggy here too. I'm going to go in GH soon and get some sowing done..feel like 'Mrs Motivator' this morning.. ;D..if I would not have to keep quiet for others sake I propably would crack hoover on too.. :o ::)
No doubt when it gets to mid day I'll be needing a nap..

Squash64

I don't know what's the matter with my internet, I have to keep disconnecting the modem to get it to work.  I could ring the help line I suppose.....

Yes June, it's very foggy here in Birmingham this morning.  I'm going to walk the dogs round the allotments instead of the park because I know there won't be any other dogs there.  I don't like not being able to see what's approaching us.

Hope your leg feels better soon Goodlife.

Another early bird here (not from choice!!) Elsa (King Charles) has got in to the habit of waking me at 5.30am for garden visit and although she will go back to sleep I find it difficult so usually decide to stay up. Maybe it is because she is getting on a bit (13 in Sept.) causing her to wake early, Still that's better than having any mess ion the house.
Very foggy here,

pumkinlover

I nearly joined you at 5.30 but managed to nod off, the birds were starting early today, they sing so loud early on.
I've been on my own once I think it is a funny experience.
Nice to see that you all had a "chat" this morning. Still foggy and I have to drive to Nottingham for a meeting so hope it clears :( (I'm not big into driving on motorways anyway)
Hope leg feels better Goodlife.

I'm still up.. ;D Several coffees and slice of warm bread later.. ;D ;D..and leg is feeling better thank you.
I do have to get my leg sorted.. ::) It doesn't like rest..sitting and lying down after while hurts..but it likes me being on my feet all day, walking, bending down, kicking, dancing..anything that involves moving about.. ::)
Still foggy..I bet it doesn't clear until mid-day again.
I'm going to do another loaf now.. ;D

when you can't sleep I put it down to having a guilty conscience, take a page out of my book and start being nice to people, 9 hours sleep and bright as a button this sunny morning. It is already quite warm here so I have discarded the big boys trousers and it is shorts and shirtsleeves for me today.

Jeannine

Hey, I am always nice to people and I just got out of bed cos I can't sleep , it is 2.50 am here,..boo hoo

I would have been here around 6;30 but we too have internet problems- keep losing the connection. They now think it's because a tree across the road has rubbed a phone wire bare, so hopefully it will be fixed next week.
Glad to report, Plusnet helpline is a lot more helpful than BT- unfortunately it's BT we're relying on to fix it,of course. :(

Mrs Ava

Slept like a baby but have been soooooo busy with work, allotment and I have started working out daily to try and shed some Christmas wobbles.  Had a full 12 hours! Been full of energy today and spent five great hours on the allotment, then a couple more in the garden at home.  Now I am off out for the evening with the girls.  :D

goodlife

I doubt I'll be up early in the morning tomorrow. I've been up since 4 am...and only just came in from lotty. I've had busy day and even a guilty conscience won't keep me wake after that. Got tons of work done although it always feels like its not enough..  ::)
Well..it will be pain killer and bed for me..could not cope evening with girls after a lotty session... :o

I don't have any trouble sleeping but I just don't seem to need very much.  I love early morning when the birds are singing and the dogs are snoring.

Happened to me one night when I couldn't sleep, and the only person on here.  Peed me off, as I had no-one to tell I couldn't sleep and it was so dark, couldn't even go and do some digging, and OH was snoring and asleep so couldn't hoover and had finished my book.  Hopefully will sleep tonight as spent 4 hours at the lovely allotment.  Not a good idea to go to the allotment at 3 am in the morning, but did think of it.   ;D ;D

Duke Ellington

One night me and my OH couldn't sleep....(he was having a bad time work wise) We got up at 4:30am and went for a long walk. We saw another couple doing the same :o

Duke ;D
dont be fooled by the name I am a Lady!! :-*

Carol

I am often up early mornings not being able to sleep cos of various internal probs.  I pass the time doing Soduko in the Kitchen and wish I could get my hands on this laptop BUT its beside the budgie in this room and I don't want to disturb her  LOL    I am looking forward to the lighter mornings though and I think I will take a walk.  Its odd though, in the early hours I always manage to do difficult Sudoko.  The brain must be sharper in the wee sma' hours.

We have just had net problems becuase the shared service wires with next door had perished with theunderground water and the lines were "playing off each other". according to my neighbour his connection was fine.

Virgin was fantastic about getting it sorted BT not so. They were very willing to dig up my driveway and put it back anyhoo they liked in order to lay a new cable and of course the neighbour chimed in with the fact that it was a shared cable he should be consulted too but didnt want BT anywhere near his property despite the fact that it would solve a future problem for him.

in the end we managed to get BT to lay us a new sperate cable which went under our grass.

Neighbour wasnt to impressed when we told them we'd had our bit fixed but they wouuld still have a problem in future.
