I've had a very nice day with lots of phone calls from friends and family and a delicious cream tea at the Oldway Mansion Tearooms (Paignton) with two dear friends - one of whom will be 91 in May. I feel quite a young 'un by comparison to be starting my 79th! She really is amazing - gave me a Christmas card she had forgotten to post - with the message 'Merry Christmas and whatever the New Year throws at us - we will survive'!
