We have all by now seen the shocking pics on the TV and in the papers, but this site shows satellite pics before and after.  Unbelievable!

Click on the before picture and it will flick to the after.  I think there are about 20 images in all.

Unbelieveable. How are they are ever going to get back to any sort of normal life, it is going to take generations.
I am holding a coffee morning on the 4th February to raise a bit of money for the victims, the kids had a non uniform day at school on Friday and the school has raised about £1000, trouble is they are going to need money for years to come, and when it is not being flashed on the news many soon forget :(
We don't inherit the earth, we only borrow it from our children.

It is amazing coincidently the Beeb put out a documentary Thursday and repeated it tonight about how we have abused this planet earth, “global warming” is a major concern, “global dimming” is an even greater concern as the worlds climate has changed so profoundly over the past 35 years all because of us.
Scientists have suggested that global dimming caused the droughts in Africa in the 70’s and 80’s which claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.
I wont babble on any longer but will add I watched the progamme twice as I was shocked by it and it made me very concerned for my grandchildren and their children to come, I hope for their sakes there is a way out of this as it is only a few decades or maybe 100years away and in real terms very little time.
This may sound a very boring topic but for those who may care to learn more please click here… http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/dimming_prog_summary.shtml
