Allotments 4 All

Hi all, well it is time to say goodbye   as my pooter will go off tomorrow pm.

We will still be managing to fly out on Monday after spending the night in London on Sunday night  despite a last minute hitch.

I had to get an ambulance for John on Wednesday, I almost lost him., he apparently went into complete heart block, not a pretty sight but the crew were there in minutes, he repeated it in the ambulance and again at the hospital, then they stabilised him and a few hours later they stuck a pacemaker in and he is now  fine, came home today.

I have to say the hospital were truly outstanding as they got it all done so fast as they said he would be fine after and if they could get all the afterchecks done in time we could travel..and they did.

He has to be careful and no lifting but he is OK to go.

So my friends we are off as planned.. I will log in ASAP from the other side.

We have found a lovely apartment from the end of April and our stuff arrives the ame week.

Think about us on Monday,50th wedding anniversary in the air..dare not join the Mile High Club now due to the pacemaker , but his heart is working now so that is good enough for me. We plan to fly on our 60th so....

Thank God J is fit to fly and I hope the journey goes well. Please promise me that you will ask if there's any chance of an upgrade because of this recent blip to make J's flight as comfortable as possible (and a mention of The Anniversary wouldn't go amiss, either  ;)) If an upgrade isn't possible, I don't know what you feel about asking for bulkhead seats in the Sardine Section (or even refusing them if you're offered - there are pros and cons - you can check out here www.airlinequality.com )  Will you need wheelchair(s) or transport help for you and your carry-on luggage? Even if not, you can certainly ask if you can be boarded first, at check in. Yep! I think that's a Good Idea 8)

In fact, I'm SO full of Good Ideas, I wonder if you'd like your Personal Assistant (me) to come along with you? ;D

Hmmm...menage a trois on your wedding anniversary? P'raps not :P

But I WILL be with you in spirit on Monday and until we hear from you again when you're in Canada.

Maybe too late to catch you before you leave, but no doubt you'll pick this up when you get settled.

So sorry you had a last minute shock,but glad your plans weren't disrupted. Have a safe journey and make sure everyone on the plane knows it's your 50th soyou can have a real party! ;D
