When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.

Buying a big piece of polythene with the money HMRC says it is giving me back.

Only here will people understand why that is a double joy.

Digging my first spuds, hole free and plentiful.    :D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

I am dreaming of enjoying our new allotment. Also looking forward to the open days and veg show that we have planned for the year.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I am dreaming of spending some quiet time on my plot just working away as best I can, and then sitting back with a nice coffee and just listening to the birds singing
Last year was a no go for me, so this year with some help with the digging my plot will be lovely, with plenty of things growing, all well, I hope
   June.

I'm dreaming of our secretary saying that one of our three abandoned plots has finally been given up by the owner so I can have a full plot...and grow twice the lurvley fruit and veg!!

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Ditto... grown from seed sown in 2009, kept in a succession of pots until last year, planted out into their bed, decent showing plants last year... this year I get to eat some.....

Monkey Brains

Temperatures somewhere above zero so I can get back to digging over my new plot...

Getting a polytunnel up. Hopefully I'll do it this year.

Actually putting something in the ground rather than just taking weed roots out ... then ironically taking things out of the ground again.
2015 - New plot. Let's go!!

Dry weather. I need to dig!

The first seeds coming up in their modules.

Homemade cheese, home grown tomato and home-cured ham on a toastie made with homemade bread  All enjoyed with lovely salad straight from the garden and a bowl of soup made from the stock of the ham and a little of each root veg on a sunny weekend in late summer. Washing it all down with a glass of my own wine or cider, while I look over my rows of crops, shuffling the hoe about a bit in the warm sunshine and topping up that glass.

Actually growing something this year. I took a year off last year......and some warm sunny weather with summer showers overnight, not all day! ;D
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.
