Just wanted to share with you the news that my Mam died  tonight.  She was 94 and had alzheimers, so her passing is a release but still a sadness.  Sat with her all afternoon and tonight at 8 pm she breathed her last breath.  Like to think of her winging her way with superman to  rest and peace. busy_lizzie

Lizzie, what can I say but I am so sorry for your loss.  We lost our beloved dad in May and my heart still aches.  My heartfelt sympathies to you and your family.
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

HUGE HUGE HUGE hug for you busy_lizzie

is sad to lose, is sad to let go, is hard finding the right words, I keep thinking that 98 is a great age which it is, but i know we would want it to be 99 100 101 and so forth never wanting this day to come, and now that its here, I send you my compassion and my empathy and will think of your mum and superman up there and will be thinking of you also.

Lizzie, my heartfelt sympathy to you, I have been in the same position and really feel for you.  My best friend lost her Mum last week to alzheimers too so we have been talking a lot.  It will be a comfort to you and her to have been with her at the end and looked after her.  Cherish your memories, remember her before the disease took hold, she has had a wonderful long life.  Take care.

Dear BL,
Feel for you so much. I'm sure your Mum was comforted that you were there. Alzheimer's is a terrible thing. Hope soon you will be able to remember you Mum as she was.
Will you plant something special in her memory?
Take care,
CLx

Have been thinking of you all day B/Lizzie - my Mum suffered Alzheimers for many years tho it was pneumonia which officially caused her death.  In truth it is a release for you all and in time you will remember your Mum as she was in happier times.

Death leaves a terrible hole in your heart.
Try to remember the good times and dont forget that she wouldnt want to see you so upset.

Go and sit with nature down the lottie, youll soon see God there, and know everything is alright

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I posted in September, looking for a poem for my nieces funeral. People were so kind, and sent so many lovely poems. Sadly I didn't find the one we were looking for until last week, but it's so lovely I hope you don't mind me sharing it with you. Thinking of you, and your family, take care, Jackie. xx

Remember Me
Remember me whenever you see a sunrise,
Remember me whenever you see a star,
Remember me whenever you see a rainbow
Or woods in autumn colours from afar.

Remember me whenever you see the roses
Or seagulls sailing high in a sky of blue.
Remember me whenever you see waves
shining in the sun, and remember,
I'll be remembering you.

Remember me whenever you see a teardrop,
Or meadows still wet with the morning dew.
Remember me whenever you feel love
growing in your heart, and remember,
I'll be remembering you.
