Georgie

...our dear friend Sarah (Superspout) died.  I'm not sure how many of you posting these days will remember her but there is rarely a day goes by that something doesn't remind me of her.  I took a bunch of daffs to her funeral so I'm posting this pic here now in remembrance.  Bless you Sarah, I miss you so much.

Bless you Georgie, thank you for your post.  I still really miss Sarah too, and was only yesterday looking through copies I printed off from her posts, she was so knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble, like you I really miss her and will always remember her.  We are so lucky she joined Allotments4All!  :)

Thinking of you Sarah

Yes Georgie, Supersprout is greatly missed, I think of her every time I mulch my plot and sort out my heritage toms,

she always encouraged members on this forum and had a kind word for everyone even though she was so ill,/ shades x

Yes, I  remember Sarah aka Supersprout - what a special lady, I never had the pleasure of meeting her but she left such an impression - her witty and helpful posts and willingness to share.

I think of her everytime I am at the plot and I'm still growing 'supersprout' squash :D

Thanks for posting this Georgie.

Very fond memories here too, I remember Sarah from another forum as well as A4A.

Its incredible how time passes so quickly, it only seems like yesterday that someone posted to say it was Sarahs 1st anniversary..........now 2 years have slipped by.

What a lovely lady, and missed very much.

Thanks Georgie.......
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

She would certainly have laughed out loud had she seen me circling you three times at York station before I dared approach you Katie.  :D

I'm sure I'm not alone in not being able to delete supersprout's last message to me.

I'm a sentimental of sod, but I miss her.  She was a lovely lady.  What more can I say.

I was thinking that about a week ago. It's like the wonderful words under the dome of St Paul's Cathedral, about its maker, Christopher Wren. They're in Latin, but a rough translation is: "reader, if you are seeking his monument, only look around you."
For me, all that cheerful Sprouty advice and lightly-carried expertise, still here on A4A, is the most brilliant accidental memorial.

And yep, Valmarg and Emaggie, I'm another one whose PM inbox still has its undeleted Supersprout message.

Barnowl

Supersprout was the first person on A4A to offer (and send) me seeds and the message is still there in my Inbox. I never got to know her well, but haven't forgotten that inspiration and the pleasure of her other postings. She's missed but, as others have said, lives on in many hearts and minds.

I still have all sarahs  PM's, cannot delete them somehow.

SHe was one special lady and a pleasure to talk to.

I only knew her for a couple of months. Such a short time and yet she made such an impression. I still have the squash rymes she sent me. I can't think about squash with thinking of SSprout. After giving me advice she said"Ah but whats life without a bit of experimentation"
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"
