Hi everyone - hope you're not too worst for wear after last night!

Just wondering what everyones resolutions are?

I have made a few, the main one is to keep in contact with my friends and family a bit better. A dear friend of mine died just before Christmas and I totally regret that I didn't visit her as often as I could have. She was a wonderful lady and I miss her loads. It was all very sudden so we didn't know she was going to die, but it still doesn't stop my regret. I won't let that happen again!

Friends and family are the most important things in our lives so we shouldn't neglet them.

Emmalou, that's so sad, and hindsight is a wonderful thing, I'm sure your friend knew how much she meant to you......you can't go forward looking backward, so feel regret and remember your friendship cos I'm sure she did, I really feel for you, and hope 2006 brings you many smiles and happier memories...
My New Year Resolution....don't really have one!! I never stick to them anyway, though I intend to really pull my finger out and build my little business into a multi million pound operation, sell it on and buy an Island for all those who wish too, to join the A4A commune....Delilah is sailing us there, apparently..... :o ;D ;)

I didn't see my friend as often as I would have liked before he was killed and I deeply regretted it but I spoke to his sister and she told me that was just the nature of our relationship and that I was still his closest friend - we just didn't need to keep proving it to ouselves.  Anyway, I still miss him loads but now just regret that I am not going to see him again - the immense hurth does get better though.

I am like lottie in that I do not do resolutions.  If I want to change somethig I can try and fail at anytime of the year e.g. gave up smoking in September and had a ciggie last night  ???

I fall into the camp of not doing resolutions for the new year either.

Agreed but sometimes it's good to have a date to psych yourself up for and what better than the start of a new year?

I've made about 2,000 of them this year, that way I know I'll stick to at least one <g>

Just a side note guys. There is something special about this new year. They said on the TV last night that for the first time in a very long time that there was no moon on new year eve night, There fore if you make a resolution this year you must stick to it and it will come true because of the lack of the moon. :)

Go for it Jags, can't remember how long it is since I stopped smoking , but well done you adnGood Luck from another ex-smoker ;D
If you don't make mistakes, you'll never make anything!

Clang   why did you have a f*g mate if you'd not had one since Sept?  If you're going to give up then you have to really give it up and not succumb.  You have to be tough with yourself.  You'll not regret it  :)
I came, I saw, I composted

My new years resolution is not to neglect my wife and family and look after them, and I am so sorry

Mrs Ava

Don't really make them....but once again, as every year, I plan to exercise more, so more time spent gardening and allotmenteering, and eating healthier, so more home grown fruit and veggies on the plate!  Can't get fairer than that.

And this is the year of economising in this household....grrr.... one day Rodney, we will be millionaires....  ;D

return of the mac

Cant say i need to make any- couple of months ago i had a complete turnaround on my life after i nearly lost it, long story with a 4x4 versus my bike- i lost.

For all of you who make new year resolutions good luck, i never do, i just cannot get past the first week.  One year i made one to say no when i did not want to do something instead of being a yes girl and wearing myself out, i lasted  for a whole 2 days  ::) He he!!.

Jaggy go for it, my husband went cold turkey, 17 years ago and never looked back, good luck do your best. ;D

I gave up fags 3 days before Christmas hope to stay off them as i found that they were costing me £74.00 a month phew! what a shock that revelation was, hope to save up the cash and put it towards a greenhouse.

On the grounds that I always break my resolutions asap, I am making a resolution to be celibate in 2006 ... ;) [oooops did I just say that!]
