Yesterday I went down and picked (with very cold hands!) at least 2 kilos of sprouts!! The harvest this year is terrific. Put two bags in the freezer and we'll eat a pound this week.
Also got - 4 leeks, some green kale, and a bag of mixed salads - a baby scarole, some lamb's lettuce and wild rocket and parsley. It was delish.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com
