I had a lovely day. No work, so that's great for a start! At about 8.30, I was out in the garden taking photos of plants covered in snow! it all looked so gorgeous. By 10am it had all melted, so it's a good job I went out early!

At about lunchtime, I went riding. Fortunately the ground had thawed enough by that time - I thought it was going to be too frozen to ride, so was pleased. And then I had a beautiful encounter with a squirrel. (I know i should hate them, but I can't!)

Then pottered about back home, cooked dinner (roast vegetables with pasta, mmmm) and made my birthday cake.

Got lots of lovely presents: Mr Aqui gave me six rocks (two beautiful pieces of triangular slate to go round the pond, a piece of natural amythest and another crystal and two halves of the most gorgeous huge crystal, which is closely related to my birthdate), books, cds, etc. Mum and Dad gave me a vegetable steamer, PH meter, min/max thermometer and some lovely little yellow primroses. Gran gave me some hellebores. Sister gave me money to spend on the garden (I think I'll get a coldframe)... Mum-in-law's dropping her's round on Saturday.
