I know I could look at which magazine but would rather have some personal ideas, we bought 4 galvanised ones last year, instead of them being used for light stuff, people were using them for stuff like flags  :o
anyway, we have some money set aside for 3 new ones, is polypropylene better than metal?
pneumatic tyres or solid?
with stays or not?
not too heavy but robust enough
thanks for your input  :)

imho you cant beat builder's barrows they are bomb proof not too heavy and will take a lot of hammer, i have 2 and lend them to other people on the lottie as their wee ones are just not up to the job, mine are strong steel tho not the galv ones i got them 2nd hand from the local tip,
you may be a king or a little street sweeper but sooner or later you dance with de reaper.

I totally agree with tonybloke's Chillington recomendation.  I have this one from Wickes http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wheelbarrow/invt/500300 but it only cost about £25 when I got it.
