right that's enough for now I need to go out and don't fancy a soaking walking along the seafront   ::) , if it could start again tonight that would be appreciated  :P

still nothing in Leeds, we had some drizzle over the weekend but as it came with gale force winds it didn't last long!  It is forecast for tomorrow though so maybe my little garden will finally get the soaking it desperately needs, I feel so guilty constantly filling up watering can fulls every night!

:)don't worry digeroo the rain is on its way.  How do I no?  No work till a week on wednesday (which means no pay either :'() Already a steady drizzle here in Swindon. So from concrete to claggy by tomorrow. ::)   Granddaughters birthday so more than my lifes worth to disappear today.

It rained for the first time in what seemed like three months, Friday evening.!!, i was so glad that i ran outside and took my socks off and danced about in it..

Up until today no rainfall of any consequence for weeks. Seem to have made up for it since early this morning. It hasn't stopped :) Forecasters don't seem to be able to tell the time let alone  the weather. Thought today was going to be ok with rain coming in later so planned to tidy up garden. Went to town instead and had my eyes tested ::). Glad it has rained as the plot is like digging into  concrete.

It is raining today.  Apart form a few heavy showers one day in September and a downpour in July this is all wev'e had in months.  Our unlined pond - 8m x 5m x 90cms - has been dry since late July and the normally boggy ground rounds its edges too so I've had to keep my new gunnera in a bucket all summer.  I grew loads of sweetcorn but it is quite floury and not at all juicy after a bone dry August with temps of 38C.

Yesterday I managed to plant out some plugs of curly kale and salad but couldn't get the dibber in to plant the leeks.   The soil is too hard and dry for weeding and planting or even forking over.

The rain is forecast to stay all day and then turn showery tomorrow.  I just hope we get enough to moisten everything so I can finally get around to starting the autumn weed clear up and bulb planting.

Its been raining since 8 o clock this morning, not very hard but steadily all day, I hoed all my weeds when the soil was bone drt, mind you if the rain stops tomorrow it will probably dry out in the wind.    ;D ;D ;D
