The operation went very well and every day she looks a bit better.

Yesterday she could sort of `speak` so the graft must be working.

Still a long road with weeks of radio therapy after she comes home but it looks like she will be able to swallow and speak again.

I saw in the news today much about poor standards in the NHS-well don`t include Addenbrooke`s (Cambridge)-they have been fantastic

That's as good news as you could have hoped for.  Best wishes to all of you for the continuing treatment and recovery.

I agree, I have just come out of York Hospital after 9 days and I have to say, they were excellent, but very busy at times, so I could see some of the elderly were sometimes not given the time they wanted... some were very demanding...

Really glad to hear the op went well Stephan, I have been thinking about you both and wondering how it was all going.  Give Jenny our best wishes and take care yourself.

As you can see, Stephan I missed all this, but I'm glad I came in on the upbeat. Not good at the other bit.
