Clanger was my school nickname - and still is to people who knew me then.  I first needed a 'handle' when I joined Imps forums and we are red imps so I just put the two together.

My screename is really sparkling_quavers as in the musical quavers. This ended up shortened to "sparkly" on a brass banding forum and it stuck.

My registered name was Ninnyscrops. Twin nieces, 30 odd years ago,  couldn't pronounce Linda and it came out Ninda, then shortened to Nin then extended to Ninny. My new name "downtoearth" seems to be where I spend most of my time now!  ;D

I've noticed people tend to call me by my screen name more than my real name, so came to think the screen name suited me more.

Just used my name but then found that there was another Pauline so added the day I was born on.   :D

I wanted to be honest and use my own name, but Julie was already taken, so used my surname (married name, nicer than the maiden name!) instead.  Simple really!  :)

For many years my hubby and step son have given me a varity of names, so much so that I am shocked when they call me Helen, my favorite names they have given me are Tinkie and Bear and as there was already a Tinkie then I combined the two.  I could also have been LP (little pig, hubby is BP - big pig - and James was MP - mini pig at the time but then he grew and became middle pig!!)
