More by accident than design, we planted out some romanesco plants in the last week of Aug..They were among some winter caulie plants..
We were looking among the winter caulies on Saturday here's what we found.
Despite all the cold wet weather etc they had grown well ...
So it looks like we could grow romanesco as an early winter veg. Even as an additional veg for  the Christmas dinner. These seeds were sown late June...

Lovely Jim, I love them but don't have a lot of success.  Will my 'all the year round' caulis survive this frost as they all have lovely little heads on them?!

saddad

Never had any success with Romanesco, or cauli in general, so am very jealous!!
E-J it should be OK but a bit of fleece will help at this time of year. Purple Cape stands out without protection in Derby, my most successful cauli!  :-[

Mrs Ava

Fingers crossed then saddad, could have a cauli with out chrissy dindins.
