My first lot are in the mini greenhouse and the next lot are going to be sown today these will be for the greenhouse which i should be putting into place next weekend dependant on the weather.
What cold its 40degrees out side and only idiots on the road  8)

Ant

ours have been out for a couple of days now... seem to be doing fine.

I have put about 7 plants out yesterday and would have put out another 10 had they been bigger....................I intend to have a "take a chance batch on all my vegetables next year, for the cost of a few seed its worth the try in my opinion.I put my first lot of spuds in about 9ins deep about 3 months ago.........they are doing great so far (Duke of York variety)

loopyloulou

some down where i am in the midlands have theyre toms and beans out but i keep looking at my babys and saying nah, not big enough yet, but ive left the mini greenhouse thingys door open overnight, slugs are enjoying the cucumber plants! am tempted to out the courgettes out, is it too early for them still?
i think i like it here :D now who can tell me how to grow my own chocolate???

Robert_Brenchley

It's always a temptation, but I'm going carefully. I may put them out early this year, but only under cloches, and not yet.

Trevor_D

I'd normally be planting them out now, but it was so cold earlier that, although I sowed them on exactly the same day as I always do (April 2nd - our wedding anniversary) I'm still potting them on. At least another week.

Mrs Ava

First batch will go out this coming Wednesday.

I give up with outdoor varieties.  Last year was my final attempt.  They never work for me.  Will stick with greenhouse varieties only from this year I think. ::)

I find metcheck a bit confusing - but Monday 19th May early morning temp 0 0C, feels like 8 0C? That's for Chester by the way

Crystalmoon

I left my tomato plants out last night for the first night...covered in fleece...they are a tumbling variety Im growing in pots & the first tomatoes Ive ever grown from seeds...they do look very small still...hoping they will survive.

First lot went out yesterday (Sunday).  Also courgettes and various beans.  The lottie is once again beginning to look more full than empty.

In fact, we're beginning to wonder whether we'll have enough room.  :o  As we do every year!

Barnowl

First lot went out on Saturday morning. Only 23 more varieties to go .....

Isleworth

My 'Alacante' have been out three weeks... All seem to be doing well  :)

antipodes

Yes! All went out over the weekend which was a long weekend for us here. The kids say they counted 35 plants but surely not? hmm then again...
growing Marmande big 'uns, some grappe type small tomatoes and some Gartenperle cherries

My courgettes are already out in a lasagna bed and they seem to be growing wildly.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

I think I'm going to have to plant my tomatoes out as they are getting too tall and will eventually fall off the windowsill.
