Hi all, why i have been off line can someone please tell me how the hottest summer on record we were told we were going to have as been.

Know what you mean about the summer, where the heck has it gotten to  ::)  I'm holding out for an indian summer, I've kidded myself Sept & Oct are going to be roasting (and I really do need that extra pair of flip flops)  ;)  ;D

Summer happened here one week in April, when I went to Spain and wore all my clothes at once plus a borrowed anorak, then I squelched my way around Cornwall in June. ::) Despite all this I've still got 'Allotment Arms' (brown up to the sleeve). ;D

doesn't even look as if we'll get an Indian summer  :'(

Could always just get an Indian and stay in ;D Yum ;D

Praying for sun over the bank holiday as we're going camping in Wales. ::)

no, Caroline, I've ordered good weather while we're away, 24th aug to 7th sept  ;D

Memories of summer......for some - strawberries and cream?...99er with flake?.....buckits and spades on the beach?....nah! for me, summer was Monday 6th August.....it was, finally, a hot day, and I went gardening for the first time this year in my summer work shorts 8)....long things with lots of pockets and about 9" of flesh before my socks and boots started......resultant bites turned to lumps, turned to blood poisoning.......so.... summer for me was....my Annual Trip to A&E  ;D

Hi Richard, nice to see you back here, hope all is well and you have managed to feel a little better with things.

As for the summer, ahhhhh well, we were spoilt, ive just got back from Jamaica, sometimes youve just got to chase the sun  8)
