could it get into the water? - huh?

as in...you water the plant,
the water breaks down the glue,
and the toxic stuff in the glue gets
into the water and also the plants

I like to use paper pots too. The only problem I find is that, if you dont completely bury the paper, it can work as a wick in hot weather and dry the plant out. If the compost has sunk too much, I tear the top edge of the pot off to make sure nothing sticks out.

Always makes me wonder though, if the rotting paper takes any nitrogen out of the soil while the plant is growing.

I cut off the bottom half of my plastic milk bottles, and then use a skewer to make a load of holes in the bottom. Works for me....and they are reusable:)

does the pot come apart when watering seedlings in paper pots? Or does it last the whole time prior to transplanting?

They start getting a bit mushy, usually just before planting out but the roots hold it all together by then

Mine seem to last, made with the Telegraph ;D.

I don't think Prittstick is terribly toxic.  Our kids used to eat it when they were little, given half a chance.  :o

Oh, and they did survive.  ;D

have you checked how many fingers they have?!?

Must remember to stock up on Pritt stick, for next time we run out of peanut butter.
