Not to sure if this is the right section to post this but HDRA have changed its name to Garden Organic. I have just looked at the new website - www.getsetgrow.org.uk which offers a few freebies and special offers if you register. Worth a look .

Just Googled "scrunter" and it came up with some guy in the Carribean who makes calypso records.

Also tried a dictionary which said " did you mean scrubber "  :o

Noted - I preferred the old one.

You need to get a copy of 'Ye olde Insults of West Yorkshire'.

I hope I get "Scrunters Delight" seeds.

I preferred the old site.

Best laid plans and all that

Personally think that it is very important to remember what the HD stood for.  Where would we all be without him?

Now now scrunters :)

The HDRA is still the HDRA legally, they've just changed their working name to Garden Organic because they were having trouble with the general public not knowing what HDRA stood for or meant. In this age of branding and such, they asked members what they stood for and organic gardening was the overwhelming answer, hence Garden Organic.

They should be able to raise the profile of organics more if the first question folk ask isn't 'what's HDRA stand for?'

On seed types, the web page says,
"Complete your details and we will send you a Get Set, Grow pack, which includes a free packet of organic seeds (either rocket or tomato depending on the season) and a 2-for-1 entry voucher to visit Ryton (Warwickshire) or Yalding (Kent) Organic Gardens to inspire your growing ideas

Please note: People registering before November 15 will receive their Get Set, Grow! packs shortly afterwards. The next deadline for entries will be January 31, with packs being distributed in February.
"

I don't want rocket so am hanging on till January for my freebie toms :)

I kind of liked the fact that 'HDRA' went against the grain of oh-so-clever branding...'Garden Organic' ain't even grammatikal.

Are Marketing woman still OK?! hope so, as I am one.

I think this is a good idea for all the reasons above - thanks for the explanation Moonbells. Nice to see they are keeping up with the times and trying to widen their appeal.

Darn, I was too keen, I wanted tomatoes too! Have got rocket already and am not too keen on it anyway! swop shop here I come  :)
