ooooooooooo, so exciting!  Our sister-in-law,  my darlings baby borthers wife, is in hossy, in the throws of labour, soon to give birth to our little neice or nephew!

Come on girl!  PUSH!!

I will let you know what pops out.  They know already - the wonders of modern medicine, but we didn't want to know.  Thrive on suprise!  Went to 'George' this morning and looked at baby clothes....I can't believe mine were ever that tiny!  Bought a lovely pair of booties!  Altogether now.......aaaawwwwwww.  ;D

Broody GW............for about minus 1 second!  The joys of other peoples babies, you hand them back when they poop and start to scream!  ;D  Had mine, and have an extra that didn't require any pushing, and that is more than enough for this girl!  ;D

Awwwwwww! How wonderful, a new baby in the family.  :D  My daughter has just got engaged and is planning to marry in two years, and then she  says it will be another two years before they think about having a baby.  So it will be ages before there is one in our family.   :'( :(

I hope your sister in law has a safe and happy delivery with a beautiful bouncing baby. I'll be thinking about her pushing and panting.   Hope it goes well for her. :) busy_lizzie

Well, at 3pm, Ava's brother telephoned just to let us know she was in full swing.  He sounded sooooooooooo nervous bless him - so daunting that first one.  Maybe by now I am an auntie all over again!  I have some wonderful soft cute things put away for babes first Christmas already!  Another great thing about being the aunt rather than mum, you can buy all of those daft unpratical NOISY things!  ;D

Will keep you posted.

Do wish I could go with all this but, having been there for No2 son, just can't think why people go on doing it!

Any news Auntie EJ?
ROTF laughing at the thought of Wardy's son in those bootees!
I had a nightmare delivery with Cameron, but would love another one (or two). The only thing I can really remember is the look on Baz's sheet white face when they brought out the foreceps...  :-X
Make the most of today, because you'll never have it back again.

Doris_Pinks

Stop at 1 Caz!!!  though me number 2 is improving with age!!

Oh EJ you get to hold someone elses baby and hand it back, how exciting, the smell of em, and those bottoms to bite......errrrr  no wonder my kids think I am weird! ;D

the nearest I shall get is my neice is getting married next year and wants babies.............roll it on and hand em back I say!

Well? Come on what is it? Must've arrived by now surely (or the poor woman!)

I'm rather excited about becoming a step great aunt soon (I'm not even a proper aunt yet!) But that's probably mostly because I'm feeling broody myself!
gone to pot :D

Mrs Ava

Welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

I am now an auntie all over again to a beautiful bouncing boy!  Thomas Harding.  8Ib something (ava didn't remember the full weight), born just after midnight.  Unfortunately for her, she ended up having a C-Section after being in labour for 36 hours and being exhausted and baby being exhausted.  But, mother and baby (and daddy) are doing grand and are all overjoyed!

So there you are, another little lad in the world!  Awwww.  I would have dozens, mine popped out in a couple of hours, I went from waters breaking to full labour immediately, no complications, if only they didn't have to keep sticking needles in you!  No, no Emma, 2.5 is more than enough!

So happy!
Could chatter away for ages!!
Heehee.

It was our darlings harvest festival today and dauhgter number ones class showed the route a Scottish caught makeral made from Scotland to Chelmsford.  She was in charge of arrows on a map!  Number one sons class sang a song about apples and made apple crumble, USING FRESH LOCALLY PICKED APPLES!  ;D  My darling and I are full of glee and joy today! ;D

May you all have a wonderful day!

That's great news Emma! For a minute I thought he was that writer, but that's Hardy.

36 hours - ouch. OK - that's me put off again! (sort of!)
gone to pot :D

Mrs Ava

Don't let it put you off Aqui!  Everyone is different, but, the minute they put that little lump of lovliness in your arms, you forget about the palava of childbirth.  ;D

Maddy

That's wonderful news EJ.  Congratulations on the new addition to your family.

I wanna baby.....

Oh how lovely! congratulations to Mum and Dad and Auntie and Uncle Ava on the birth of Thomas.  I am glad to hear both Mother and baby are doing well,  - good weight too.  I am sorry she had a long and tiring delivery and ended up having to have the c section, but the main thing is that every one is okay.

My first born was a c-section.  He had his hand on his head, so they thought a normal delivery would be too risky for him.  He was 9lb 2oz, so every one thought it just as well that I didn't have to give birth to such a whopper the normal way.  My daintier daughter was much smaller thankfully and I had her the conventional way.  It seems like a life time ago as they are 31 and 28 now.   :) busy_lizzie
