Went to the Lottie today, first time for a good few days, very pleased to see the Spinach, Spring Onions and Radish’s ready for picking again, anyone grow these white Radish, they are very Hot Hot Hot but nice nevertheless, I found they lose their sting if left a few days in the fridge.

The Sweetcorn cobs are now yellow as apposed to ivory colour, maybe they’ll taste less sweet now.

Very nice Roy!  I grow Moolis (the white radish)  and some of mine are HUGE already!  They can stay put all winter and are fab in a winter stirfry!
Lovely lovely caulis!  So jealous.  2006 will be the year of the cauli for me, I am determined!

Jessie

Looks fab Roy, you've done well with your cauliflowers :)

wardy

I have never grown a cauli in my life and must do so before I pop this mortal coil  ;D   Your cauli looks a good un Roy.  have you eaten it yet,.  Wha di taste like?
I came, I saw, I composted

Svea

roy, i find hot radish (when eaten raw) loses some sharpess if dipped in a little salt.

nice haul :)

Never any peace!! All these GROWERS out there setting the standards.

So - just had to see what could be done. The Parsnips & Leeks are 'mini veg'. But, as said earlier, the foliage is misleading! If only we hadn't lost our 200 feet of brassica/sprouting. And we do miss caulis. Interesting that the purple brassica resisted the onslaught longest.

Are those actually radish, Roy, as opposed to Mouli? If so, yes - we preferred French Breakfast.

Great picture Tim.  Such a variety of produce and all pristine.  Does ones heart good to see such bounty.  Well done you. I'm very envious of your aubergines  :)

;) Thanks for the kind words Guys :) Tim your display looks gorgeous clean and tidy, I have been snapping my crop unwashed as I was told by a green grocer that washing and storing veg does not keep as long as unwashed ??? anyone ever heard of such a thing?

Tim regarding the Mouli, (not heard of it) so Googled and got things like cheese graters ??? ;D then spotted Emma's post and Googled it and got Carrot like root veg tasting like radish, HM! I dunno :-\ could be Moolis, I have thrown away the packet now but feel sure it said "White Radish" on the packet ::)

Doris_Pinks

Roy, they look rather like my long white icicle radish I am growing, the top leaves don't look "mooli" enough to me.
Great haul you 2  ;D
We don't inherit the earth, we only borrow it from our children.

Roy  Mouli is short for Moulinex who make graters electrical and mechanical.  Mooli is the Asian variety of white radish

Like your new Avatar.  Who was that this morning your grandson?   ;D

tim

We found the white ones too hot.

Washing? You're so right, Roy. But those will all be used in 2 days!

Roy

Sorry to hurt your feelings  ;D  Us women eh, have the power to wound  ;)

I've got some icicle like radishes but they have an unproncounceable German name which I won't even attempt.  They're hot, hot, hot  :)
