Just can't keep up with them.  Lat year none and this year can't get rid of them fast enough.  :) busy_lizzie

Like Emma - the rest of ours are going to be marrows. Trouble is, with a 'dangly'
courgette, you get a bent marrow when it hits the ground!

But this is nice, meanwhile!!

Goodness me BL!  You have enough there to try every recipe listed on the recipe board containing courgettes!  Courgette bread is devine, and courgette cake is rather yummy to!

Off to the lottie tomorrow for some more.   Thanks all for your comments.  Thanks for recipe Tim.  Will give it a try too.  :) busy_lizzie

Lovely harvest ;) I have just read somewhere that they only keep a few days in the fridge and if marrows they must not be stored with the flesh touching as they will rot ::) :( ???

Thanks for the tip Roy.  Don't usually store them altogether like the pic but it is something to bear in mind. Would ideally like to cook with them straightaway, but it is so difficult to keep up.  :) busy_lizzie

Roy, thanks to the glut  I have had at least 6 at a time in the fridge and they last at least a week or more.  So long as the skin isn't broken they seem to be okay. As for storing, I know ideally you shouldn't let the fruits touch, but I stored all of my squashes heaped up in a pile in my conservatory....and I still have 2 there now and they have all been fine. If the skin is properly dry, I don't see there being such a problem.

BL - You have done fantastically well there !

;D ;)

I don't believe this ::) I have been storing my marrows in tough cardboard box's one layer and only just touching each other, (this was before I read about marrow storage) I offered one to my Sis-in-law today, she took her pick and looked aghast when she saw the other end quiver :o so did I :o the 'B' thing was so rotted it quivered like a jelly :P how embarrassing :-[ geez! won't be letting them touch again. :o
