Allotments 4 All

Hi All

This is my second year of veg growing, only a small start, last year a few tomatoes and lettuces, no joy with cucumbers and the worlds smallest chilli's.

I've not got a big veg plot, just a space in the lawn, some pots and luckily now access to a greenhouse which should prove useful next year.

Thought I'd post a few photos of the garden this year as the tomatoes are doing quite well, cucumbers good so far but this is when it all went wrong last year and the courgettes are romping away. The onions are small but the soil isn't good and it's a bit close to an established hedge.

Thinking of an allotment next year.

They are working fine on the web server they are on, but what I type in as the address for them in the post is not what the forum is saving, it keeps subsituting a work in address that i never typed, anyone had this before????

Are you clicking the image button and pasting the photos' address within the bracketed [img]?

Yep, even if i retype it all or use the spell check to change the word the forum keeps changing and then save it, it changes it right back.

Haven't got a clue then - maybe the site you are posting on is blocked by this one or the host - you'll have to post a message for Dan on Computers and Internet.

Hi Dicky I would advise you to get an allotment as you know your stuff and make good of a small space, I will be planting all my toms in pots next year as the grow bags are naff.

Well done Dicky  ;) You may want to change your image addy from dicky to something else less rude as this silly censor on here won't let you show your images unless peeps change the thingy to dicky in the URL ::)

And there my friend you have hit the nail on the head, even in quote marks it changes it, trouble is both my web address have in the url as that is my nick name, political correctness I feel.

Try this, it's not going to be that fast and if my home connection goes down you wouldn't see them, just temp  till i sort it out with the administrator.

Excellent pics Dicky, and fab veg!  So many toms!!!!  Get yourself an allotment, if you can grow all that in your garden, just think what you could grow on a plot!

My cucumber is bigger than yours  ;D ;D ;D    Sorry, I got carried away there  :)  Tomatoes!!!! I have lots of foliage but not a glimmer of a tom and am dead envious that you have so many  :)   Go on, get yourself a lotty - you know you want to  ;D

They look wonderful, your tomatoes are certainly something to be proud of, well done, I am quite envious!

;D This could be tricky dicky as peeps will keep referring to you as thingy ;D If members want to by pass the censor they can by highlighting the "ic" and then clicking the font face, the red A above, I was taught this by someone on here and remembered it (that's good for me) ;D

Definitely get a lottie.  What you have is far more impressive than what I seem to have at the moment.

makes me embarrassed that i have loads of room and come no where near !! lol never mind the allotments about clean as you get with weeds its all dug and manured next yr will just required a nice bit of rotvation and presto lets have a good yr i hope
