Hi, I've just taken over a lottie in Bedford (the Allen Park Site). I notice there are a few people on here with Goldington Road lotties, anyone else from Allen Park?

I am on Barkers lane allotments...... don't know where Allen Park is?

Good to see some people from MK too - just down the road....

Don't forget you can add your location to the

Member Map

And then everyone can see the spread of people round the country (world!)

Crops of eelgrass, anyone?  ;)

According to the Members' Map... Eldegard, Ace, Fozzylozzy and Louise Stella are in mid-Channel (tres chic at this time of year, if a little blowy!)

Then there's Razorboy, in the Bristol Channel, and AlanP, in the Irish Sea along with Shaz and Chrispea27.

Ozzy's in the Atlantic Ocean and Caff53 and Demeter are heading that way too... (not so much container gardening as container shipping?)

and if you want to know about frost protection, ask Merry Tiller, whose plot is somewhere on an icefield in Iceland   ;D

Horley,Surrey. Just next to Gatwick Airport. Anyone near?
about 65 plots and great friendly people.

Not too far from mine and Plot73's site. We're in Tilgate in Crawley. Lovely and peaceful at our site, you really wouldn't believe we're only 10 minutes from gatwick! :)

Sarah

Hi Sarah

Andy
The allotments are on the edge of Tilgate Park, close to the Golf Course (There is a gate on the left, about 50 meters before the Fisherman's Car Park).

Leeds Lad

Hi all

I'm in Horsford north of Norwich, only picked up this plot late last year, sharing it with a mate.  At the moment recycling a large stack of new pallets into all sorts of things.  Managed to pick them up from work, they had hundreds of them that they couldn't get rid of.

Brilliant site

Andy H

Hundreds of pallets ;D

Bliss, you can make anything out of them.

ohhhhhhhhhh..............just used that member map thingy to put my pin where the lottie is.................scary!
you can zoom in enough to see the shed roofs!
only trouble is the pics they use seem a little dated.............my plot looks as tho it hasnt been worked on?
is this based on that "google earth" thingy..........and are the pics updated regularly?
would be nice to see how the plot looks now with al the beds in and sheds removed.........plus id be able to watch my carrots grow from 20,000 feet.....lol

I think you will find that a lot of the images of the UK used on Google earth, were taken in or around 2002-2003, although there do seem to be a few that were taken more recently.
BTW my name is Alan, and my allotment is on the Bants Lane site in Northampton. Not much going on there yet as we only got it in October and my knee gave out within a week or so of taking it on.
Grow your own and enjoy the fruits of your labours,
Regards Alan.
