I have ordered two sets.  None of the cloves germinated from the bulbs I planted this spring.  I bought them from a garden centre and they had unusual names and were not any of the "wight" variety bulbs that I usually grow. 

Do you know whether the two on offer from Dobies are for Autumn or Spring planting please?

All garlics are better autumn planted.  Especially the hardneck garlics, those that throw up a flower stalk. 

Last year I could not plant in autumn because the garden was waterlogged. I put my garlics in pots in the greenhouse in an attempt to do my best in the circumstances, then spring planting was delayed because the garden was still under water and the hardnecks were quite a bit smaller than usual.  Non-flowering or softneck garlics are more forgiving and don't need such a long spell of cold.  Softnecks can be spring planted, but I have had better results with autumn planting.

Can't get it to work for me- no space for a code at the basket stage and won't accept it in the voucher box at the checkout. :(

I just tried again Caroline and it worked again for me ,at the checkout it says offer code and i put it in there which i just above the order info, it didnt work yesterday but it did today.

I just looked too, seems to still be using that code (didn't actually buy anything though). Once added, if you view your basket, above the headings 'Price Quantity and Total' there should be a box for 'Offer code' and an 'apply' button.

Received my garlic bulbs today  Very happy with them, they look superb, I can only hope I grow mine as well!
Does anyone know if they are UK grown?

haven't got mine yet, hope that means they're on the way. It says in the original advert they are grown by Dobies
