Hi... been a bit quiet today as I spent all morning in casualty. Got up this morning and went to check the snow on the road in front of the house by looking out of the front bedroom window. Somehow I managed to fall down the stairs. I went right over and now have a bald patch from skinning my scalp... very sore ribs and numerous other bruises. Thankfully nothing broken.   :o
Before you start I hadn't been on the "falling down" juice that early, nor still drunk from the night before.   ;)
I must be the only person taken to Cas. this week who hadn't slipped in the snow.  :-\

OH almost fell out of the window trying to clear the snow off the sky dish.....he did get tv back though ;)
A space? I need more plants......more plants? I need some space!!!!

Poppy Mole

We believe you - no one else will though. Get better soon.

Don't make me laugh it hurts... despite the horse tablets. It hurts even to breathe in...  ::)

caroline7758

Ouch!!
You can still blame the snow, though!

manicscousers

Take care, david, don't watch any funny t.v  :)

tim

Yes - ouch!!

Done it 3 times - when I was a few years younger.

Now watch every step, because at present age something would go = no pension for the family!!

We spent a dodgy morning dragging ladders along the conservatory roof as it was bending under the weight of the snow- OH worried more snow  would fall off the roof and make it even worse. :-\ I worried for both of us and the roof. :-\

I am glad you have no broken bits Saddad but I'm afraid to say that the pain can be just as bad if not worse when there is no break. so keep taking the painkillers so you can  keep moving round.  No  posts in the "What I did in the garden today" thread from you for a few days :( !please

saddad

Thankfully we watched all the comedy shows on I-Player last night!  ;D

I did it once before (twenty years ago) wouldn't fancy it in another 20 though,  Tim

Oh blimey, what a palava!  Poor you.  Glad you are 'ok' though and nothing broken or no stay in hospital.  Do be careful!!

We've had so much snow here that my wife has spent the last week just staring through the living room window.

If it gets any colder I'll have to let her in.

Ow, I bruised my ribs years ago....darned painful! Take it easy and when you get better you can try the sled and a big hill instead of the stairs.

Big gentle hug..........get well again soon xxx
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

saddad

Thanks all.... OH had me watch "Strictly Ballroom" instead... that was bad enough  :)

No water skiing for you Sadad for awhile.
I've re-read your post a couple times trying to figure out how you fell down stairs looking out the window...maybe you hit your head harder than you thought. Is someone checking your pupils regularly to make sure you don't have a sneaky subdural hematoma?
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

saddad

I never got into the front bedroom... walking across the top of the stairs my own "SatNav" obviously took a wrong turn...  :-[

Hope you will soon be feeling better Saddad.

Squash64

That sounds painful, hope you are feeling better today.

Just seen this post Saddad. I bet that hurt. I would like to know what words came out of ones mouth when you landed. Hopeyou soon feel better.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"
