Hello,

I have just taken on a half plot at Brockhurst allotments in Gosport, Hants.  ;D

I have just found this site and spent a few hours trawling through, it's a great forum so I thought I would say hello.

I'm sure I'll need to pick your brains at some point. I am a complete novice when it comes to gardening - so please be patient with me.  ;)

I think we have another 'Turk' on these boards. I lived over that way yonks ago and used to drink in a pub called the Hanging Tit because it had an old ships figurehead outside in the shape of a lady with her bits hanging out. The Queen Charlotte was the real name of the pub. Grandad worked at Priddys Hard, which can't be far from you. He used to have an allotment but I don't know if it was the site you are on because he had his at least 60 years ago and I was only a little nipper back then so I can't remember much. He was digging for victory when he first got it.
