they've now managed to find our back garden, last couple of years, been here 37 years ;D

There's been 6 or 7 of them chasing each other through the trees up my end of the lottie all year, has anyone noticed that they are beginning to get a reddy colour on their back and tails over the years, or is that just me.
Also a bloke at work showed me a photo on his phone of a white squirrel that runs about on his caravan site, I've never seen one of these before.  :o     ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

Where have you been looking ?  8)

There never have been many in Boultham park, but there's always a few running around Hartsholme country park - especially near the refreshments shop. :)

our garden backs onto the old cemetary, and we get squirrels passing through the garden most days (on the way to a neighbours bird table) ;)

We had a pair of magpies for 22 years, but they finally disappeared/died.  Unfortunately a squirrel moved in.  Lovely to watch - love the way their tails flick about but they eat things in the garden.  Broad beans are an absolute favourite.  And they are the masters at getting through any type of barrier.  Netting seems to be no problem to them at all.  They either get underneath it or simply chew a hole in it.  Wire no problem, they still ate the beans -  no idea how.  I put a cloche over them and actually found the animal inside.

They have now learned to knock over plastic bottles so they have to be put very firmly into the soil.   I tend now to put a stick through the top and into the soil. I am sure it will not be long before they suss that one out as well.

very versatile aren't they? maybe that's why I haven't seen any, I am vegetarian btw  ;D

slug killer, I'm not looking for them, they just aren't where they normally are ie on my plot chasing each other around the oak trees or around Acorn Close on the way to Boultham Park an area you seem to be  familiar with, are you from these parts ? :) / shades x

They'll live anywhere. I used to live on the Cornish moors, away from trees, and they lived on the ground like rats. At one school I worked at I used to see them popping in and out of the drains all the time.

Grew up there. My mother still lives in Hykeham. When I visit, we often sit in the park in the summer.
