Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.

Duke

artichoke

I took my Crown Prince to my family (4 people) in Germany last week, and we had it grated in home made rolls, baked in a remoska, roasted with other veg, made into a soup - and there was still a quarter remaining when I had to go home. I knew the two of us couldn't eat it here before mould set in.

macmac

A cauliflower I found that I thought was all leaf, radishes ,rocket and overwintered spring onions-I know a contradiction in terms  :)
sanity is overated

I ate my first from this season's growings  :)

I thinned some pea plants and muched on the thinnings. Its the first I've really tried the pea shoots and they'd go well as a salad green in a sandwich.

Finished off my string beans from my first year that were in the freezer. Things are very sparse in the house  >:(
