Was just talking to a mate of mine about films that used to be on at Christmas when we were younger and thought it might be interesting to find out what films everyone used to watch when they were kids.
Personally for me, Christmas was always Digby the Biggest Dog in the World (used to cry my eyes out), Wizard of Oz (I still watch this incessantly - best film ever) and Quincy's Quest with Tommy Steele (not seen it for years, but loved it).

So what did you watch?

Christmas Carol, any of them, muppets or alastair simms, black and white or colour, I loves them all.

Holiday Inn, makes me feel very Christmassy.

Then any of the musicals like 7 brides for 7 brothers, Grease and so on.

I love the muppets - I'm eagerly awaiting Muppets Series 3 for Christmas - just can't find my mates hiding place!! ;D

definatly muppets christmas carol, bought a dvd player recently so looking out for a copy of this film now

Carol

Ooo I remember Wonderful Life but not watched it for years now.  I did like James Stewart.  I don't think the 'Film Stars' nowadays are as handsome as the men decades ago.  Charlton Heston, James stewart. Tony Curtis, Victor Mature (he looked like my father)!!  ruggedness of John Wayne, Cary Grant.  Memories.  I had little Joe in Bonanza on my bedroom wall beside Cliff Richard, Eden Kane and Billy Fury.  LOL.

;D ;D

Oh I've never seen this film.

When the boys were young we ALWAYS had to watch Home Alone to get us all Chrismassy. Two years ago they rented it while they were here (they're now 29 & 25) and it brought memories flooding back.
:) Net It Or You Won't Get It  :)
