R.I.P.

Loved that man's voice, it always felt very comforting. I remember Noggin the Nog and Ivor, although all the news reports this morning seem to reckon Bagpuss was his greatest moment.

Everything he did was marvellous IMHO

:'( thanks for starting this Katy..Bagpuss was my absolute fave and it was a joy to hear the little mice this morning on R4...shock horror! I found out that they couldn't actually talk :o and a lady spoke/sang for them ;D

It was a good tribute to a lovely and talented man. 8)

I have a 'The Clangers' first day cover signed by the man himself and Peter Firmin.

Sad Sad news ... :'(  I loved watching Ivor the Engine and the Dragon Idris who lived in the firebox just before tea time.  I saw it on video and bought it for my son and he too loved it and we watched it over and over.  Good things to pass on ... he has left a true legacy for any childhood.

I suppose I need to comment here as he is responsible for my lifelong nickname - loved the Clangers as a kid.  Don't make them like that anymore!!!

RIP Mr Postgate
