This was the summer after we'd moved in. All the pots and plants (apart from the climbers) I added. The decking and slate were there when we bought the place.

This was late spring/early summer last year, so you can see how much I've added since then.

Late April of this year.

And a few weeks ago

Aqui it's lovely to see lots of vegetation compared to what looked quite bare in the first picture and with a pond now I bet the wildlife are very thankful. Isn't it fun to transform a garden. The tulips look lovely, I can't see in the photo but assume you've got them planted in a pot?

Thanks Jesse!

I think the previous people had let it grow wild and then thought they'd better tidy up before selling, so did the drastic bare makeover thing! It was good to start with a blank slate (pun intended!)

The tulips are actually in my veg patch as I suddenly remembered in January that I hadn't planted them and that was the only bit of soil that was easy to dig!

Blimey you have worked hard girl!  Doesn't it take ages to water all of the pots??  The pond looks great also.  Keeps you busy huh!  Good pics, glad to see them at last, keep them coming now!  ;D

ina

That's really nice to see. You just kept adding and it got nicer and nicer.

The most sensible thing? The bench. Sit & enjoy!!  Tim

Fantastic Aqui!

Cant beleive the difference in such a short space of time

My you HAVE worked hard havent you?

Latest picture looks sooooo much better than the first one with all that decking and slate.

You're a true gardener now Aqui!!! Thank heavens you didn't leave it in its origional state!!

The pond looks just right and what a difference without all that boring decking and slate.

Your garden now looks like a garden.

Well done you - bet you're not finished yet though eh?

Eileen.

The thing is - when we took out all that decking and dug the central bed with the pond, it made the garden look so much bigger!

I do still have plans:

The area with the greenhouse is all going to be dug up and planted and the bench put there. Under the bench will be low growing things that like dappled shade.

The area with the bench and one of my nurseries is also going to be dug to accommodate various shrubs I've bought, so as to hide my compost area.

The bit between the shed (you can't see it - it's behind the bench) and the gate will become a woodland/wild flower area.

The corner with the growbags containing toms (at the bottom - near where the buddleia's creepy in) will be dug to extend my veg patch.

And then I'll have to annex the neighbours' garden when they're not looking!

Well done Aqui - what a transformation :D  I love container gardening, have alot of pots in mine which you can just move around to give an entirely new perspective to everything.  Keep the piccies coming :)
Happy gardening all...........Pat

What a transformation, well done, I wish I had more space to expand, ::) the pot plant theme does leave you the option to move things around to give a fresh appearance and also allows you to put out the more tender exotics plants like a Banana plant :o say by the pool? Or even better a Tree fern if I may be so bold. :D

I always keep lots of spare stuff in pots, ready to drop into gaps in the borders to add a bit of colour, or to arrange on the patio to make n ever changing display.

Not just your 'normal' pot plants either, I also use spare shrubs and perennials in pots as well.

Just goes to show what a wee bit vision and a lot of hard work can do. Keep up the good work!
