flowers on my chillis

I have got flower buds on some of my chillis that are growing in doors, is this normal.
i ask cos this is the first year i have been early with them last year hadnt even planted them by now  :o

Yeah its normal. White flowers? They usually flower and then the chillis come after. Watch out at this point for pests. white fly especially (dunno if they are around at this time of year yet but just incase) mine were blighted with them at one point last year!

Ahh sorry i misread your post. My bad.
I haven't planted any this year and the ones I had from last year died about 1 month ago when I was away :( but they did continue to flower, although not fruit until nov/dec, which I found odd

when did you sew them and what size pots are they now in?

thats ok im just really surprised because it didnt get last years ones in til late not complaining though the longer the growing season the better  ;D

i planted them on the 16th february they are currently in 5in pots having been potted on just once, i was expecting to pot them on to much larger pots before they started flowering, will it still be ok to repot them as necessary if they are flowering

It's a bit early for flowering, though not very.

If they are rootbound chillies will flower earlier. Check whether their roots are coming out of the bottom of the pots and if so then pot them on - they 'll be fine. Best not to expose them to a major temperature change at the same time unless they are very sturdy.

Mine seem to have stopped growing since I transplanted them. They are only about 2" high. :(

Mine are the same, both chillis & sweet peppers.  Wondered if I should be feeding them?

The blurb on my seed packet says start feeding chile's with a weak solution of fertilizer when two true leaves appear

They're probably just developing their root system, unless it's a bit cold in which case they slow down a lot.

My largest are flowering, smallest are still growing. Don't want to pot them on too much as I'll be leaving them on a windowsill and would have to build a bigger windowsill! Might start some more off now to see if I can get them to grow outside.

I've got a chilli on my chilli....there were two flowers before i went on holiday now a flower (and sorry to be repetitive) and a chilli.

However it has overwintered on my Kitchen windowsill.

Yes, my overwintered peppers are flowering and have set peppers, so the harvest will be very early this year. Variety is King of the North.

Mine haven't germinated!! :(  I think I may have over watered the compost so have put the pots over a radiator to dry out a bit!  Probably so the wrong thing to do!  If nothing happens this week I'll just start again.

Mine were planted on the 16th Feb and are about three inches high in three inch pots in my un-heated greenhouse. Whe you talk about them being over wintered are they in a greenhouse or indoors?

From what I've read chillies like feeding from when the flowers start appearing; also thatmisting/spraying encourage flower production.
