Beautiful, Carol.  It looks so picturesque and peaceful.

Cumbria's a bridge too far for us these days, regrettably. We miss it.

Lovely, Carol- hope you had a good holiday!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

The visit to the Lake District was a return to our Honeymoon Hotel for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary/  We enjoyed revisiting but the Hotel was in need of refurbishment and we were put into a tiny double room with hardly room to swing a cat.  The curtains were grey and no dinner was served on Sunday.  However, we walked into Grasmere and enjoyed a dinner in  a nice wee Restaurant.  We had a good weekend and enjoyed the lovely scenery.

I think the view must have more than made up for your tiny room disappointment.
Hope you had a good time.  :)
Congrats on your Ruby Wedding too.
Lovely pics Carol. Thanks for sharing them.

Just spotted this post Carol. What great photos and many congratulations to you and hubby on your Ruby Wedding :) What a shame the hotel wasn't up to scratch but the scenery must have made up for that :)
Happy gardening all...........Pat
