Any gin drinkers out there?

Is the Duchess of Kent catholic! I hear you all shout. Well I have just discovered Martin Millers gin, beautiful stuff, knocks that blue sapphire into a cocked hat. Strong as well, and smoother than a cashmir cod piece.

A bit on the expensive side but you save on the tonic as it tastes better neat.

What's your favorite?

Think I'll have another while I wait for your replies.

Never heard of that one Ace.  I am Gordons girl, although a drop of Plymouth goes down a treat.  I like the look of blue sapphire, but am always disappointed that it isn't blue!

G&T is as important to me as breathing.  We usually have Gordons, but go for Plymouth for a change. We also tried the organic stuff (can't remember the name) and that was excellent.  :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Hendricks my fav! not cheap £20 but gorgeous a real scent of roses and cucumber a true treat!and a good tonic Ben Shaws

Gordons my fav, do buy Plymouth occasionally. Think my mum buys Martin Millers so will raid her drinky cupboard in August and try it out!

I love Bombay blue sapphire but have had one just as nice can't remember what it was....think it was a supermarket own brand!

I don`t drink much alcohol, but my lady wife loves G&T for preference plymouth gin(support the local economy), she also makes sloe gin for the family.
    Can I count her in please?

I quite like the Sainsbury's own brand.

A branch of Netto has opened nearby recently, and their King's Court dry gin at £6.19 a 70cl bottle, is really very good.

Yes - Plymouth is great - Bombay is a con - there is only one Gin - Tanquerays No10.

Tanqueray is hot favourite for me too, and Sir Alistair Burnett, very dry, but I've never been known to refuse gin of any make ;D. Just so long as it's cold, cold ,cold with a decent slice of lemon.

Bombay Sapphire, not Blue Sapphire, nor Bombay Blue Sapphire.  Hendricks is fine, never tried Martin Millers.

I'm with the Tanqueray set (tho just the ordinary stuff, not the 40 squid a throw jobbie!) . Love Tanqueray Malacca which I used to drink with very good friends in the US - guy from Louisiana who mixed the most amazing drinks imaginable! Can't get it over this side of the pond though.

Turkish gin was an experience.  I drank lots with some friendly turks whilst holidaying many years ago, with ex - who was a bore and I really wanted to come home, so to numb the boredom, I made friends.  We got legless, literally!  I felt fine after 9 or 19 neat little gins, until I stood up to find I had completely lost the feeling in my legs!  My body got drunk from the toes up!!  Weird hangover the next day....lots of hallucinating.
