Mrs Ava

Just wanted to post as lots of you lovely lot have been in touch as I haven't been around very much lately.  We are all very well.  Lots going on at the moment.  Daughter number one has had a couple of operations on her face and treatment is ongoing, so that has kept is busy.  We decorated both childrens rooms as they are older now and wanted a change.  I am working a lot, more than I would like, but the money comes in VERY handy, so any free time I do get I am either on the allotment or in my garden.  We had a trip to Devon to see the olds as Nan has been very poorly, she is on the mend now thankfully.  Then my cousin had a heart attack and died, only 46, so we had that to deal with.  And of course, the children have been on half term this past week keeping me on my toes.  I am still waiting for the date for my hernia op, I am undergoing dental work, have dreadful hayfever and daughter and I have both had nits!!!!!  The old man, (Ava), is just fine and dandy!  He turns 40 next month and he doesn't look a day over 50.  ;D  He is still riding his motorbike into the City everyday and worrying me senseless.

By the time I sit my bum down infront of the computer, I am exhausted.  Any questions I might have had, had been asked by someone else, and you guys had all answered and any questions I might have been able to answer are all hours old and well and truly answered.  I do update my blog when I visit the allotment.

Mum says one day I will meet myself coming back again.....whatever that might mean.  So there you have it.  I am being more of a lurker these days, but if you want me, just post my name and I will answer.  Ava and I are planning to go to Doris Pinks BBQ and hope to see lots of you there!

what a cool answer to peoples worries, I still worry that I am such a newbie here but there is obviously such a community spirit here. Nice to know that all is ok with you Emma Jane, I read everyones posts with interest so I feel as if I am part of the gang/family.

Not heard "meet myself coming back again" in ages it used to describe me, please give yourself 10 min to stop and have a breather.

Nice to hear from you, EJ- hope you've got a less hectic time coming up!

Sounds as though you've been really busy. I hope you get a date for the hernia op soon. It must be really hard coping with that with all you've got to do. I've missed you!

Jill

Aw EJ, I was just wondering how you were so thanks for bringing us up to date.  Do take care and hope to see you down at Mrs Pinks.

Smile, it confuses people.

Mrs Ava

Thanks all.  And you wouldn't believe it, the Broomfield Hospital called me today to say they had a cancellation and would I like to have my hernia done on the 20th June.  So, 19th June will be the last time I can do any digging for a good few weeks.  Shame!  ;D

So no visit again this year then?
Well, crongers fissed for the op. Had mine done one or two years back (actually 57 years to be honest!). Still got the scar too!
Gardening is the great leveller.

Hi EJ, was thinking about you and Alishka the other day. Not heard from you both in ages. Gaaagh the dreaded nits.  ::)
Hope your op goes ok and that your daughter recovers soon. Life seems to throw it at you all at once sometimes!
All the best Ems x
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

Hey EJ, good to hear from you - sorry you're going through a hectic time right now.  Glad you've finally got a date for the op, will be thinking of you on 20th ;)

Don't be pushing yourself too hard after it either - let other people look after you for a while  ;)

Take it easy & take care  :-*
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

MrsKP

There just ain't enough hours in the day is there ?  I know that feeling well.  Good luck with the op EJ and I hope you're wee lass is recovering well and good to hear that Nan is too.

So sorry to hear your sad news though.  46 is a bit of a wake up call isn't it.

A friend of ours ended up havng an emergency stent op last week and hie's only in his early 40s too.  Too frightening to even think of.

Lishka is doing ok, running around like a maddy as usual.

Keep well and take a deep breath occasionally.

Good to hear from you EJ - I had been thinking about you & assumed it was cos you'd had your op already.  Good luck for the 20th - you will have loads to time to get on here when you are recuperating.   :)

Really sorry to hear about your cousin - much too young, seems so unfair.

flossie

Am very much a lurker myself nowadays, Emma-Jane, (similar reasons!) so am very pleased you updated us - was going to PM.  Make the most of your hectic times - believe me in years to come you will look back fondly on them - cherish the fact that you are needed and can help - the tragedy of your cousin  brings everything into perspective doesn't it.

Thank goodness you have  date for your op but remember it will be sooo important not to push yourself to do too much too soon!!  Every Good Wish.
