It's absolutely throwing it down in Birmingham. I'm not going to complain too much though; we don't need any more droughts, or we'll lose half our trees.

I had to go and get veg for dinner in my mac and wellies with my hoooge umbrella!

Decided to forget the beetroot til tomorrow.   :(

Yep. hissing down her on the sunny sarf coast. I had planned to revamp the garden. I hired a digger for a clients job, so towed it here on the trailer, it would have made short work of what I wanted to do. Not a chance now it I shall have to do it by hand now. When it gets drier.
Just my luck eh. If I fell in a barrel of tits I would come up sucking my thumb.

Oh I thought this was going to be about the beautiful weather today, which we have had  :D :D :D  so OH and me skipped  ;D off to the local woods and I kicked the leaves in the air  ;D ;D.  It was amazing at the sheer quantity of nuts on the ground this year.  Every Oak tree must have dumped tons of acorns.  No wonder the birds are not in gardens, plenty feeding out there in the woods and fields etc.   Hard luck on your rotten weather tho, we will be getting it tomorrow or Tues or Wed.  Today it was lovely and even sat outside after the walk and had a coffee in the sun.  :D :D

sorry, this morning was brilliant, up at the plot, picking raspberries and getting the squash plants in the compost heap, started pouring down this p.m, though but by then, we needed the sit down

It started not long after mid-day here. I was shifting everything out of the church vestry after the service so the decorators could get in, and by the time I'd finished it was starting to rain. I had hoped for at least an hour or two on the allotment before it started, but no such luck.

All I know is that it must be winter - had to wear a pullover yesterday for the first time since April.

The Bearded Wonder turned the HEATING on when we got home from a weekend in Yorkshire.....I'm sure it was warmer there.(The weather was great all weekend)

Yes, lovely bloomin' weather... >:(

I've been trying to egt my overwintering onions in for about a month now. It's pitch dark by the time I get home in the evening and the weekends have needed me in the shop on Saturdays so I'm only left with Sundays.  This Sunday rain rain rain rain and more bleedin' rain.  Sat int he car for 10 minutes wondering about what to do.  Lasted half an hour pulling up the odd weed on the new allium bed - to wet to dig/rake flat etc - before giving up.  "Drowned rat" springs to mind.

The good news is that I managed to get 4 bales of straw to the plot so very happy about that. Cardboard is the next aim and the paths will soon be tackled!

It didn't get to Derby until 2:00pm, but seems to have carried on until 2 this morning... I have a delivery of muck to move and a path to lay...It's not raining now so I'm going to have a go!

It was clear this morning, but the balcony was wet, and it's clouded over since. They're forecasting showers later. I'm just hoping we get enough to see us through next summer without too many problems.

Deluged in South Cheshire yesterday so I was looking forward to a good excuse not to cycle home from dropping the car off for it's service.  No such luck.  This morning was clear dry & almost warm.  I know it's good for me, but I sooo wanted to get the bus........
is it in the sale?

I've always loved rain. I mean i appreciate that plants need their sun and light and what not....but I come from pakistan and it only rains for a few weeks in the whole year and then that's it.

so we're very lucky as regards to the amount of rain we get.
