Sorry to hear that Richard, don't worry too much mate... Sounds a bit like Asthma to me?

lorna

Richard. Sorry to hear about your problems and I really do hope  that everything will turn out OK and medication will help.. Do let us know how you get on, will be thinking of you.  In the meantime just try and stay positive. Very best wishes Lorna.

Try not to worry Richard, (easy for me to say that)!!  but this nasty virus that has gone round this winter has left a number of folk I know with the same sort of problem.  I am sure it will not be serious but just the remnants of the virus still attacking your bronchial tubes.  We are all inclined to think the worse but I am sure with more medication and some warmer weather it will clear up.  Spring is not far off.   ;) ;) ;)

Richard I think they do all that stuff to be sure it's nothing really awful. I had a similar thing happened long time ago (80's) and it turned out I had pneumonia. Heavy antiiotics and 2 weeks off work then I was as good as new. Just think how far ahead you could be with 2 weeks off work. ;)

Sorry to hear of your problems.
This is only a thought - do you have any very irritant shrubs in the garden. I once worked for a Landscping Firm (Notcutts) and whilst working in one persons garden, in one border when any of us brushed against a certain bush we nearly choked. Apparantely it has fine hairs on the leaves that irritate you. I think it was some variety of Viburnum, but this was many years ago and I cannot remember the exact name.
The owner was so pleased we tracked down the problem as the same had happened to them and they did not know what to attribute it to.
As I say just a thought. As someone else said Asthma sounds likely.

Good luck tomorrow Richard, hope you're on the mend soon. :)

Richard, try not to worry, it won't help your breathing if you are stressed, your chest will feel tight.

Reading the post by ipt8, you haven't got a new cat, bed, carpet or anything else that could cause an allergy?  I never had asthma until we got our cat and had all the same trouble as you and didn't know it was asthma, like you thought it worse!

Will be thinking of you tomorrow, let us know how you get on.

Sorry to hear this Richard, there is a virus going about that has caused lots of children at our local school to stay home, think positive, you’ll soon be back in your vegetable patch. ;)

Mrs Ava

Hey Richard!  You know how much we are all thinking of you and sending you cyber healing thoughts.  Be strong big man, relaxing thoughts need to be meandering through your mind when you have your xrays!
Best wishes!

All the very very best, Richard and you'll let us know what the doc says tomorrow?

Will be thinking of you tomorrow, Richard, and will check to see if you have posted any news.  As the others say it is easy to say "don't worry" but hard not to but remember grandas have to be strong!!

Richard,
I echo everything that has been said so far, also, there is no need to worry until you have something to worry about!! Easy for me to say though.
I really believe in the power of positive thought, it may not make a problem go away, but makes it easier to deal with.
I hope all goes well for you,
K

The worst thoughts are always the ones that we think about first. But statistically chest problems, even those that seem serious enough for further investigation, turn out to be caused by something routinely treatable.
Asthma, even if there has been no sign of it in the past, can quite suddenly occur for a wide range of reasons.
Chest infections are on the increase in the UK due in part to the environment some people live or work in. A chest infection can be a serious matter if not treated of course, but you are about to get the experts involved, Richard, and that's certainly good news. Many people fail to seek expert advice to their cost. You have faced up to the fact you need to get this sorted, Well done. Get there, get it sorted and keep in touch.
Best wishes. Ken.

I echo all that has been said above Richard and sending best wishes and positive vibes.  Good luck and try not to worry.   :)
