Hi all,

Thought I'd put a party board in for the night.

Please enjoy - but remember to respect others.

Have a drink for me  :)

:'( boohoo.  I will have to miss this one as I will be living it up in Belfast for the weekend.  Maybe a Christmas shed party?  (hint hint  ;))

Have a large beetroot juice and parsnip chip for me!

Thankyou very much, Dan - most accommodating of you. You'll have to watch out, Lish, Ina, myself and a few of the other ladies may just have to show you what the patch behind the compost heap looks like if you keep looking after us like this - moderators from fields afar have been known to fall prey!!! ;)

Love, Palefire

Gosh, seems like a lot of people can't make it. Even Lish, the party beast has other commitments but...... we'll make up for it, the more goodies for the ones present right?

This is so neat, to have a page, just for the party. Thank you Dan, you really are a wiz.

I think we need to think up a name for our new shed. Even the communal shed at our allotment complex has a name: Konkel Boet. The word 'konkel' is a dialect word for ......... chewing the fat (I learned this saying on the beeb board haha) and boet is also local dialect for shed.

See you all here, well most of you anyway, tomorrow. Better get my Dutch lace cap starched and ironed and get the manure scraped off my wooden shoes. -Ina

Ina, we can't call this shed The Conker Boat....can we??

::) ;D 8)
I'm gutted that I'll miss the fun - sitting drearily in a real-life pub on a Saturday night just ain't gonna be the same ;) - but my friends are relying on me to keep them in order, you see. Lord knows what you lot will get up to without my calming influence...

I shan't be back until lunchtime-ish on Sunday, but promise I'll tippy-toe in here ever-so-quietly..cheers! Lish

Hoping to make it, but that depends on many things.

No fancy dress at my age - just a sheepskin flying jacket and white silk scarf to keep me warm en route. I'm sending you a photo of us, Ina, so that you will recognise me. Can't get away till very late, so decided to come in my first car ever - Wolesley Hornet - cost me £37.10.0 in 1941. Drink drive? You /know/ I don't - after all these years, it knows how to get me home!

All I can find in the line of wet stuff is a bottle each of 9 year old Wheat & Raisin, and Parsnip - still the best, I think.  - Tim

PS - If it's raining, may I use someone's black plastic sheeting to keep the car dry? It's an open cockpit thing.

Wotta smoothie, Ower Tim...!!! Will he offer you a spin in his motor after a glass or two of his rude-root wine, with the promise of a pair of black-market silk stockings (useful for tying in tomatoes, he'll tell you)...and what's the significance of the white silk scarf? Who is going to surrender to whom, I wonder...

just been up in the loft and fought the moths off me posh frock, now going up the bank to get me diamond tiara out  ;D  Now just got to find me a nubile young thing in a dinner jacket, hope he doesn't mind wearing wellies with his outfit :o  Hope my high heels don't get stuck in the mud!
Opening elderberry wine to let it breathe, shall we bring our own glasses or will they be provided?!  Ice being made for the sloe Gin, (might have to sample it just to be sure it is still OK after a year  ::) and I shall nip out and get some nibblies to munch on, any preferences out there? ;D C U all later  Dotty P.

I made it. Just posted on the other bit. Borrowed my mother's electric wheelchair for the journey home, no wheelbarrows for me this year. Heavens is it only a year since we did National Poetry Day on the Beeb? Remember the fuss?

Hi Eric, yes I remember all those great poems. You're in an electric wheelchair but........... you can still get a ticket for driving under the influence you know. Why are you dressed in this sixties atire? Jeez, flower power?
