Fantastic pictures Thomas! How do you manage such perfection and neatness, a lot of hard work I bet.

Is the netting against rabbits - or low flying pigeons?? = Tim

Tim i was gonna ask the same question! What are the nets for? To keep them straight?
Great stuff though! Inspirational!

Thanks all.
The wire netting was originally placed in a U-shape over the brassica plants after they were transplanted to protect them against pigeons. When the plants outgrew the space under the wire I opened the wire netting out, but left it in place. I left the netting in place for 2 reasons. Firstly, I did not have anyplace to put the wire out of the way that I would not be tripping over it. Secondly, the brassicas in one of the pictures are all winter veg (sprouts, winter-cauliflower etc.) and with the wire netting down at each side of the row it will be very easy to put plasting netting over the top of each row in late autumn to keep the pigeons out.

:)Lovely pictures, I don't have a lottie but I do like to see what others grow..they always look so homely and wholesome. You've obviously worked very hard.
