Allotments 4 All

Rumours of my death have been somewhat exaggerated, and to those half dozen or so kind souls who have expressed concern as to my whereabouts â€" many thanks.  The truth is that I have been “off air” because my computer suffered a tremendous crash at approximately 4 pm on Boxing Day when, in the presence of several of my grandchildren, it apparently leaped from the centre of the computer table and landed on its head on the floor â€" although all the grandchildren averred that nothing untoward had happened to cause this unusual behaviour.  As the computer was returned to its more accustomed situation it emitted ominous rattling noises, and attempts by my eldest granddaughter to revive it by means of the “Kiss of Life” (as demonstrated by Brown Owl) failed dismally.

The manufacturers have been most helpful, but pointed out that none of their computers had ever before behaved in such an unruly manner, and in any case the 3 year guarantee specifically excluded poltergeist activity, “so the necessary repairs will be executed immediately on receipt of your cheque for ……..” etc.

Unfortunately I now have to set about catching up on 6 weeks NORMAL computer operations, so my visits to the site may be a bit shorter and fewer that previously until I`m up to date.

Grandchildren ...indeed!!  ::)  are you sure it wasn't a case of Grandpa escaping to the study with bottle of Scotch......then ......Oops!!!  ;D   ;)   ;D
