Another newbie question ???
My potatoe crop is now about ready for digging...Yum Yum.
What would be a good crop to plant when the plot is cleared?  Or is it best to give it a rest and wait till next season?
By the way, planted some Mint and parsley next to the potatoes and evrything is ready to harvest at the same time. Pity I can't grow a Butter plant to add to the Salad Potatoes ;D

My leeks are going to go where I lift my first earlies - not that they will take up much space  :(

Green manure. Especially if you do a crop rotation- itll aid moisture retention for next years legume crop and provide nitrogen for the brassicas the next year.

aqui, when are you putting overwintering alliums in? just wondering - if not til say october or later then the bed would remain empty for that amount of time.

i am planning on putting my leeks in where the potatos vacate space, and later on the garlic.

if there is time in between, i might squeeze another squash or two into there
