As we are for a dry spell - I am going to go to the lottie and water my soon to be brassica bed with neat nettle tea   :-X.   If I survive (it nearly killed my mate the other night when he went to look at my frog) I will let you know what happend to the weeds.  I am going to go quite late so hopefully will not disturb other lottiers with the stink - fell a bit sorry for the local residents though.

I've got some nettle soup brewing in my (small) garden. I thought it can't smell as bad as they reckon on A4A.

I was very, very wrong.  :o

OK, bit of a novice on the nettle tea/soup delights!  How do you make it? Why do you make it? Do you use it like comfrey? Is it truly that awful!!!!!  Lottie  ;D

Using it tonight undiluted as it is supposed to kill weeds with fertiliser burn.  Have already used it diluted for my cabbages abd thy look grand.  And Doris, you're right - the stuff is impossible to wash off your hands - I have some very sturdy chemical gloves and I am wearing old clothes!

Tee hee-Red Clanger-you were more than welcome to the comfrey but I take NO responsibility for the stink you cause.

Hack-ack-ack, urgh!!!!  Well, not too bad really, after the first watering can of the stuff - I had a fermenting bin and a dustbin full off the stuff to get through - trouble, I now cannot smell or taste my beer  :(

I also have a pot brewing but mine doesn't smell that bad. It doesn't smell good, but not particularly awful. So either my brew isn't strong enough or I've got no sense of smell!

Sounds like good stuff, I've got the perfect patch of nettles in my garden, I'm going to start up my own batch of nettle tea and stink out my neighbours too!
