Found this on the Lottie today whilst digging a bed, I don't know how I missed it with the fork. :o

It was in amongst the FY Manure no sign of a nest, it was stone cold and you could feel something lumpy when shaken.

I think it was a Dunnock ::) :P

Oops! Edited to shrink piccy ;D

Well its like this Roy,  I had one of them in my garden too, but you see, I don't have a shhhhh    ;) cuckoo about here, plenty Blackbirds around and did have a Thrush, but, but it could be a   D  n    k  but dont tell anyone eh!

8) 8) 8)

Madlou

Sorry to dis-appoint everyone, but according to my bird book the Dunnock's eggs are bright blue...will keep looking though

Madlou

I've found one that could be a possibility I guess, what about a Kestrel...Previously mentioned book says they lay pale eggs that have heavy reddish brown blotches....???

I'll keep looking shall I ???

Madlou

Yes I know I'm getting boring but sometimes you just have to do these things!

I have come up with a couple more likely possibilities althought hey aren't exactly exciting ones.

1: Jackdaw - Lays Pale blueish-green eggs with darker blotches.

2: Rook - Lays Pale blueish=green egss blotched with brown.

3: Hooded Crow - Lays Pale blueish-green eggs that are heavily blotched dark.

I have now saved your pic and will email it later to a knowledgable twitcher friend of my husband who will undoubtedly say "it's a ? "
