It is Tim.  My baby is looking very pretty with it's little pompom flowers.  I never use it in cooking, bad for the heart apparently, and hearts break easily in our family.  :'(

I never knew it was bad for the heart  :o  ::)
Why is that? ???

Marianne

I believe bay leaves are slightly narcotic but very OK to consume, especially with lamb ! ;D :D

EJ, is everything ok??   :(

Mrs Ava

;D Yes Mrs Frog, everything is very summer like.  Hearts cause a problem for our family, that is all, and when dad had his first heart attack bay was on a list of things to avoid.  I grow them though, but because they are such good evergreen trees, just never ever cook with them.

Well you live and learn, i use quite a lot of bay leaves in my cooking, in fact ive only just stocked up again this weekend, but OH has high BP, so perhaps i should stop using them  ???
