This programme is on now (Weds) 8 - 9 pm on BBC2.  I think there may be another 2 in this series.

Harvest was so interesting.Very stressful though,can you imagine being at the mercy of the weather on that scale?

Thanks for the link, finally watched the first programme and loved it. 

If you have free-draining soil, you can just cover carrots with black plastic in autumn, then a layer of straw and harvest any time during winter  :icon_cheers: 

And grow-lights in different colours affect growth differently?  And nutrient content of veg.  I have always wondered at the red Wall-o-water cloches you see advertised to US gardeners.  But if red promotes strong foliage growth, then that makes perfect sense.  Fascinating stuff!
