Bit concerned about my spuds, although they are earthed up and havent come through yet. 2:5 c here at moment, snow promised for later.

Snow here too Betty...
Don't worry Peter a layer of snow will insulate your spuds if they are still in the soil...

SNOOOOOOOW!.. :o well..sludge really.. ::) But it is all wet stuff and very welcome.
Spuds will love it  ;D

Digeroo

Dull cold but dry here.  Hardly a breathe of wind,

???   Blizzard in Rotherham? What the chuff is happening?

It must be the appocolypse, people. Repent thy sins. Pray to the Lord All Mighty. "Lord, i am eternally yours - just please stop it chuffing snowing!"
If tha does nowt, tha gets nowt. Simple!

Kev, I agree - 14 degrees C here and just drizzling. But we really need a good downpour.

Still, dry weather hasn't stopped the spuds and onions peeking through. They are resilient. Since I gave the garlic a good soak and a feed the other day though it looks really good. If we don't get better rain, I will do that with the onions next week.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

We've got few inches now of that wet and white stuff... ;D...and more is landing as I type.. ;D
It definately don't look like April out there but I can almost hear my plants joy when they are having that long waited soak.
Once this mad spell of weather is over I can start mulching and 'seal' the moisture where it belongs... ;) I'm going to get BIG crop of spuds this year.. ;D ;D

I will pop out later when its stopped raining and Harriets in bed and move all the plants into the mini greenhouse not much protection as the plastic has mostly eaten away from the cover but I will see if i can get some thick plastic from work to cover it up and keep the temp up :)

Metcheck have moved the snow back a few days but they might be wrong hope so am working nights now till monday :( oh well we do need this :)

It's been dry all day after 1/4 inch of rain overnight.  I even went and stood in the rain for a while as I enjoy the feel of it on my face.  Hopefull we will get some more soon as my waterbutts really need the top up.
