Allotments 4 All

Milder today  and snow thawing gently. PSB looks ok but need to straighten up some stakes. My roof thermometer on the solar panels said -8c last night but it was around -12c in this area. Haven't dared look under the fleece at the carrots.. Curly kale fine and so are the peas on the bench in the poly. it when the freeze lasts week like last year that the damage is done.

Feels like spring this morning. Yesterday was a bit hairy, had to go out and even the 4x4 done a gracefull pirouette on some black ice. My backside was going shilling, sixpence shilling, sixpence for a while. Managed to regain control and decided what I had to do was not that important and went home.

its a barmy 5.4c this morning, looks a bit dampish and dull outside, but no over night frost.

Edit...its now a silly 7.4c outside !!

A little light rain this evening and generally much warmer here today...(Monday) and set to get warmer still on Wednesday.

Anyone else notice the evening was slower to draw in as well? It was light here until nearly 5:30pm.  :)

with a sunset time of 16:17 pm and a day lengh of 9hrs 55mins things are getting better, and only 5 weeks to the 1st of spring. At the moment its 7.7c..dull but dry and a slight wind.

Sunshine, dry,  but rain  recast later. a temp o 9.3c with an over night low of 5c at he moment.[

Mostly a grey day, some rain and blustery.

Lovely dry sunny day, washing dried on the line but it will be damp again in a while if she don't come home soon and take it in.

Rather lovely here - warm, dry and sunny.

The last 2 days have been really nice sun has been out wind is cold at times, Lost half my broad beans over the weekend very cold wind. Not sure if I will plant anymore :(

Almost reached 11c here today, and with no wind it was quite pleasant. Bit cooler forecast for Sunday then warmer again!!

Warm here in sunny Enfield, went to the allotment with gloves, scarf and coat, and after some digging got very warm, but not warm enough for a tee shirt, but a nice day, and lovely to get out of the house, dug up some leeks, very small but very tasty. 

sun blazeing down its , a lovely day...temp a bit down on previos days but not bad at 6.2c. Going down to the allotment to sow onions and broad beans in cell trays

Rain came through as predicted and cleared by 1 o'clock. Now sunny and 6 degrees. wind's dropped a bit as well so it's quite pleasant.

A different day from yesterday, wet and windy after midday.  :'(

Very mixed- cold and windy, sunny one minute and raining the next- had a few nice rainbows!
